I am a big fan of Xiaohai for many reasons.but I am not good at playing fighting game. I am almost the same age as him and we come from the same city, Guangzhou. I think Guangzhou is the most avant-garde city in China. The people here are very innovative. When Xiaohai was a child, it was unimaginable to make a living by playing e-games. However, this city has produced two world champions in esports, one is Xiaohai and the other is Sky from Warcraft 3. I think xiaohai is a hero of our generation. If Guangzhou has to choose a representative, I will definitely choose Xiaohai.

I think it is wild than a player with modern controls is actually in the top eight. However, I just don’t know if those brackets faced the quality of opponents like the first bracket with punk. some of the brackets definitely had higher expectation players jammed into one bracket which definitely can make it difficult to say is this modern player really that good?

A lot of the "sportswashing" stuff reeks of hypocrisy. Forget eSports, the football world cup is next appearing in the US. When Qatar was announced as the location of the last world cup we had a decade of moralising and criticising. Think of all the Olympics and other major international sporting events that have happened in the US or other large western powers. Often these countries have very bloody recent histories or are involved in the turmoil of so many nations and people's abroad without a peep of criticism. We've had the US army as sponsors of FGC events with basically no controversy, despite being responsible for the deaths of millions. Feels like this criticism comes from those with the privilege to overlook the evils of their own nations to throw stones at others.

Watch Juicebox video explaining KOF, seem to be a more difficult game than any SF game. 4 types of jumps, no dashes but running, and run canceling, Kara mechanics, need to main 3 characters. What’s impressive of XH is that he managed to win SF6 on a stick - his EVO gold stick lol. I wonder if he modded it. SF6 is executionally more difficult than USF4 on stick - left hand needs to be super precise for optimal DR, and all the QCB / QCF and DP, side switch DP motions. Bipson, you need have optimal DR 100% of the time. I get it 90%. HORI HRAP 4, needs a bullet top and more spring tension.

This is so weird to me like you've seen people like Xian talk about how much you play doesnt matter too cause anyone can beat you cause of the game mechanics. Like you have throw loops burn out unnlcokable drive impact in the corner Crazy level 3 damage you have drive rush idk you can't see that these mechics make the game more random by nature. Also having easy combos makes the game more stupid too
